1. Safety…First – Last – Always.
2. Remember, all guns are ALWAYS loaded.
3. Do not point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
4. Keep your finger off the trigger until the sights are on the target.
5. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
6. Eye and ear protection required.
7. No alcoholic drinks before shooting or anytime at the range.
8. This is a cold range on match days.
9. Do not move target stands or props.
10. Do not shoot at Club property – props, walls, barrels, etc.
11. Do not shoot at steel targets from closer than 10 yards.
12. Do not shoot at steel targets with rifle ammo or shotgun slugs.
13. Do not leave your trash on the range; if you bring it in, you take it home.
14. Do not shoot at anything that will cause your rounds to go over the berms.
15. Shooting during daylight hours only.
16. In winter, range is closed if flag on the pole between Groton Rod & Gun Club and CPC is up; someone is bunny hunting behind our berms; no shooting allowed.
17. If a non-shooting event is going on at the Groton Rod & Gun Club, the range is closed; no shooting allowed (we hope to post a schedule of their events on our website, but the list may not be all-inclusive).
Anyone who violates any of these rules may have their membership and or range privileges suspended or revoked.
